The Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare is proud to announce the opening of applications for the National Health Fellows (NHF) Programme. This is a renewed pathway for passionate Nigerians to take the lead in driving change within our nation’s healthcare landscape.

The Selection Journey: What to Expect

The NHF uses a rigorous and transparent process to find the right fits for this high-impact role:

  1. Application Submission: Interested candidates must complete the comprehensive online form.
  2. Interview and Screening: Shortlisted candidates will move to a dual-stage process involving both virtual and physical interviews to assess technical and leadership competencies.
  3. Final Selection & Offer: Successful candidates will be officially notified and invited to a specialized onboarding session to kickstart their fellowship.

Are You Ready to Lead? (Eligibility Criteria)

Before you begin your application, ensure you meet the following core requirements:

  • Residency & Origin: You must apply to an LGA within your State of Origin and currently reside in that same state.
  • Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree. While Health-related degrees are highly valued, we are also looking for talent in IT and the Social Sciences.
  • Tools: You must have a smartphone with data capabilities (Zoom, WhatsApp, etc.) to facilitate modern health reporting and communication.
  • Documentation: Have your CV, Birth Certificate, State of Origin Certificate, Degree, and NYSC Discharge Certificate ready for verification.
